Unlimited web Hosts. Many people with a big interest for blogging mostly want the best structure for their Webs. They think that web hosting companies who claim that they offer Unlimited whatever are the best ones to host their websites on. For real, words like unlimited does not work in industries such as web hosting industry. It’s impossible to let clients host unlimited domains on a hosting account. Such companies in Uganda are fake and very fake, consider the terms given by those hosting companies.

Consider creating an Email List or Newsletter on your blog. Email lists and newsletters represent one of the most powerful money making tools on the Internet. They offer unbelievable conversion rates, and the probability to call individuals to action in a better and nice organized system. Creating big lists is a hard task, so if you have a popular website you could power it to increase the number of subscribers on your list.

Disk space. For same reasons as bandwidth, also watch out for that unlimited disk space. So many sites which don’t host videos, music need not greater than 20 MB of web space, therefore, even if you are given a host that tempts you with 100 GB which might be called unlimited space, just be aware of not using that space, so you should not consider 100GB space as a big factor when comparing with the other web hosts. Hosting companies are aware of that, which is why they are free to offer you that as a meaning of attracting you to host there.

The technical support. This too should be considered, does its technical support function for  7 days a week, 24 hours a day, a month, all year around? Do not accept a host which does not have staff working on public holidays and weekends. You will be amazed on how things go wrong at the most difficult times. Host advertising that it has full support of 24/7 does not automatically mean that it really has that kind of support. Test out by emailing them at midnight and on weekends, etc. Check how long they take to reply, check to see if they are technically competent. You will surely know the company your dealing with.

Multiple Domain Hosting and Sub domains, If you are thinking of selling web space, having many domains or sub domains hosted in your account, you should mind to see if they provide this, and also the amount they charge for it. (You should also know whether it’s one time or monthly).

SSL (secure server), If you are planning on having a commercial website, you might want to know if the web host lets you set up SSL / a secure server. You might have seen this on other blogs where their web address starts with https:// instead of http://. Setting up this will take in extra charges or a higher priced package. Here, the main thing do is to check whether they are available at all before you commit to the host. You will positively need to have SSL if you plan to collect credit card payments by yourself. If you’re relying on a  gateway instead, and they are not otherwise collecting private information from your customers, it’s possible that you don’t need this facility. If you are wondering about the gateway, it is just a third party company, which collects credit card payments on your behalf.

You should not only consider the pricing as the factor that determines which host you go to. Sure cheap things are nice on the pockets, but there’s a difference between affordable and cheap. Without small sums of money, a non-professional web host can’t provide decent clients. Prices like 100000 are too low for hosting. If web host offers what they claim to offer for such amount, they would rather sell katogo than offer web hosting services. These companies keep asking for money which at times enters your pockets. You will pay much money unknowingly.

Control Panel. This is called several names by different hosts, but basically, they all allow you to manage various aspects of your web account yourself. Obviously, it should allow you to do things like delete, add, manage your email addresses, and change the passwords for your account. You just can’t sign up with a host where you have to go through their technical support all times you want to change a password or delete / add an email account. It would be stressing if you had to keep waiting for their technical support to make the changes you may want.

In conclusion, Uganda has both good and bad / fake companies. Therefore consider the above points when choosing the web host.
